Barlaston Village Hall

Located in the stunningly beautiful Staffordshire countryside, on the southern outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, Barlaston is a beautiful, traditional English village just moments from the city

There is ample FREE car parking to the rear of the hall. This Edwardian hall's biggest asset however is the sprung maple dance floor. So you can dance all night long without the usual aches in your ankles and knees.

There is no bar, but please feel free to bring along your own drinks. There will be complimentary cake after the class; we also sell tea and coffee if you prefer something hot

Tango Stoke 's Weekly Argentine
Tango Classes

Stokie's run Argentine Tango classes every Tuesday. The Tango club is quite new and has a wide spectrum of abilities so you will fit in quite nicely regardless of your current dance ability... or lack of.

Our aim is to develop you properly as a solid, musical Tango dancer with a good understanding of the varied skills and techniques that Tango is based upon.

Our class night starts with a technique class where we focus, strangely enough, on the techniques needed to lead and follow Tango with precision and skill. The second class highlights the practical application of the technique learned in the first class.

With clear, unhurried explanations to keep you focused and practical assistance on hand to keep you on track and most importantly of all, a friendly, encouraging environment to learn in

Boosting Your Progress:
At Tango Stoke we understand the difficulties and pressures of learning any new form of dance. That is why we do our best to ensure that teachers and mentors are able to chat with you to discuss your progress personally during the guided práctica session

*Práctica is the name given to the time after the class when Tango music is played to dance, learn and practice to.
