Nina Daines and Nigel Anderson

Nigel
& Nina have been performing and teaching together for over two
decades, having made frequent Stage & Screen appearances including
the West End show “The Cotton Club”, films such as “Swing” and numerous
TV shows such as the Generation Game and Blue Peter.
As a partnership they have also been hugely successful on the
competition circuit, twice being crowned UK Open Jive champions, along
with having the accolade of being the first ever Ceroc Showcase
champions.
Despite being well known for their Modern Jive, Nigel and Nina have a
truly extensive repertoire which includes almost every style of Swing
related dance, from the sophistication of West Coast right through to
the dynamicism of Boogie Woogie, and all stops in between.
They are best known however for their Blues dancing and back in the
90s, Nigel and Nina were largely responsible for the start of the
current Blues dance revival here in the UK. When they travelled to the
States they saw, and instantly fell in love with this beautiful family
of Swing dances.
Their dazzling cabarets, and performances showed that Blues dance had a
skill, musicality and movement equal to any shown on the European Jive
and Swing scene.
Nigel and Nina have taught extensively all over Europe, they are now
bringing their combined skill, and extensive knowledge to the Embrace
It weekender in Kegworth.
We are thrilled that Nigel and Nina will be joining the teaching team
for the weekend. We are fortuanate to be able to count them as our
professional,
and a personal friends.
