STOKIE'S LAUNCHES THE UK'S ONLY FREE REGULAR DANCE NIGHT!

Friday's will never be the same again....

YES! It's really FREE
NO! There isn't a catch
YES! It's a weekly dance night
NO! It's not just a free launch night

It's at Stokie's, it's on a Friday night (8pm-12pm), and it's free to get in. It's open to all, and it's a project; meaning we are looking to develop this idea into something extra special with your input.

We all need a place to kick back, have fun, hang up the rule book and just dance, so we thought we'd throw an open house invitation to everyone and anyone who wants to join us. This is not a Blues night. It is not a Tango night. It is not a Modern Jive night. It's not a West Coast Swing night or a Soul, Funk, Rock, Swing, Chill Out, Smooth, R&B or Chart Music night... so what is it?

It's a night with a lovely sprung dance floor, a bunch of excitable, passionate dancers who are all looking forward to the weekend. With a soundtrack of brilliant music to inspire, surprise and delight.

The clue to the music policy is also in the name; it will be a free for all. If it's a great track it could get played. Expect the unexpected, but expect it to be worth leaving your conversation for!

We're even hoping to get a couple of local DJs involved with the Stokie's Friday Night Project so they can play their cutting edge tracks and try out their new finds for half an hour... there may be chances to have your music played... who knows? It's a project, suggest things..

There will be a discrete box on the front desk, and if you can afford to contribute something towards the evening's costs, then we'd appreciate that support. But if you can't, don't worry... just come and dance. In fact although we have a soft bar, you can bring your own drinks too. So, just come and hang out, have a laugh, catch up with your mates and dance.

What was it that Jessie J said.... We just want to make the world dance. Why not come and be part of that?

Doors open at 8pm.. maybe there'll be a short class... it's a project... if you want a bit of a class, suggest some ideas about format and length. At midnight we'll start the protracted ritual of saying goodbye to everyone. Then switch off the lights, lock up and go home grinning :)
